I'm really quite disappointed. What when wrong?

I Wish You Love

I wish you bluebirds in the spring,

To give your heart a song to sing,

And then a kiss,

But more than this,

I wish you Love.

And in July, a lemonade,

To cool you in, some leafy glade,

I wish you health,

And more than wealth,

I wish you Love

I wish you shelter, from the the storm,

A cozy fire, to keep you warm,

And most of all, when snowflakes fall

I wish you Love

You Belong To Me

"See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sunrise on a tropic isle
Just remember, darling all the while
You belong to me"

My brother sings this every day now. Every time he plays the piano, he'd be playing this. And he'd ask me to play along on the violin.

"See the market place in old Algiers
Send me photographs and souvenirs
Just remember when a dream appears
You belong to me"

This song has this distinctively mediterranean flavour, doesn't it.? Think: Sun-drenched beaches, Moroccan bazzaars, classic 1930's Casablanca.

"Fly the ocean in a silver plane
See the jungle when it's wet with rain
Just remember 'til you're home again
You belong to me"

This is quite romantic, the notion of a silver plane gliding over the shimmering expanse of ocean. I want to fly away in a silver plane too. As I have said many, many times, I need a holiday!

"See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sunrise on a tropic isle
Just remember, darling all the while
You belong to me"

And that's what I really want to say to you.

Trusting as the moments fly,
Trusting as the days go by,
Trusting Jesus what e'er befall,

Trusting Jesus that is all

The Man In The Bowler Hat
by A.S.J. Tessimond

I am the unnoticed, the unnoticable man:
The man who sat on your right in the morning train:
The man who looked through like a windowpane:
The man who was the colour of the carriage, the colour of the mounting
Morning pipe smoke.
I am the man too busy with a living to live,
Too hurried and worried to see and smell and touch:
The man who is patient too long and obeys too much
And wishes too softly and seldom.

I am the man they call the nation's backbone,
Who am boneless - playable castgut, pliable clay:
The Man they label Little lest one day
I dare to grow.

I am the rails on which the moment passes,
The megaphone for many words and voices:
I am the graph diagram,
Composite face.

I am the led, the easily-fed,
The tool, the not-quite-fool,
The would-be-safe-and-sound,
The uncomplaining, bound,
The dust fine-ground,
Stone-for-a-statue waveworn pebble-round

I just suddenly thought of this poem we studied during Lit lessons in Secondary school.

Am I to become the shapeless face of the masses. shuffling to join the ranks of the pariah?

Perhaps I already am.

Blind Ends

Blind Ends

Lead me along Blind Ends.
You don't have to hold my hand,
Because I can see through the dark
I can see through the blindness,
The bright blindness.

Should I be excited,
As I amble along Blind Ends?
For Blindness can be my shield,
Behind which darkness I need not yield.
Blinding light.

So you can lead me along Blind Ends,
For I won't fear the unknown.
Brightness that transcends the dark
Be wih me,
As They lead me round Blind Ends.
